How to Verify Your New Paypal Account

Paypal is a great site for keeping track of all your online money. You can use paypal for ebay purchases and fill your paypal account by writing eHow articles. Sadly, you can’t utilize your paypal to its fullest as soon as you create an account. First your paypal account must be verified, this will lift your sending limit and open up the world of internet dollars.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to your new paypal account by typing paypal.com into your internet browser’s address bar. Then log in using your email address and paypal password.

Step 2

Your Account Homepage should read “Welcome ‘Your Name’”. Underneath will be your Status; if it is unverified click on it. This should take you to a page with different options to verify your paypal account.

Step 3

The easiest option to verify your new paypal account is to link it to your bank account. Select this option and then enter information as prompted (mainly your bank and account number).

Step 4

Paypal will then inform you that they will send two small deposits to your bank account. When the deposits arrive (in 2-3 business days) you will need to return to paypal.com and the verification screen. Once you input the two amounts, your paypal account will be verified!

Tips & Warnings

Verify your account right away, or a few days before you plan on spending any of your paypal balance because the verification process may take a little while.
Verification lifts your sending limit, you are now free to spend as much of your paypal money as you would like. However, you must remember that if you exceed your paypal balance then paypal will pull from the bank account to which it is linked.
